The Berlin wall It was created after World War 2,during 1961, to seperate the West of Berlin from the East.All of the West of Berlin was surrounded by the wall except like 3 openings, so no one can go in or out with out geting check by an athorty. Alot of people were affected by this, like the Berliners, alot of them died in the trying of getin across the wall.I think that maybe if Erich Honecker hadnt resigned that the people borders wouldnt be opened.The people that lived in the West didnt know what the East of Berlin looked like,and the poeple from the East didnt know what the West looked like.Every one was excited the they were going to be able to see the other side of their city. Looking at alot of pictures,i saw that the wall,on ether side, had graffiti done on it. I understand beceuse if i had to live with something for 28 years i would want it to look nice to look at, not just a reminder that i am trapped in my own home/city.People in order to get to the other side and not get check by a guard chipped the wall in order to make a hole, so they can go through.Imagaine 28 years with the same wall,and ALOT of poeople wanting to go on the other side, how chipped it would be so the wall wouldnt be in a great condition.
